We are pleased to announce the release of the Pharma Forum 2018 program agenda and share some of the exciting features of this year’s program. (Want to skip the summary and download the finalized brochure right now? Click here.)

It has long become a Pharma Forum tradition for many attendees to arrive on Sunday for the pre-conference activities and registration. For senior-level corporate planners, we offer the Senior VIP Benchmarking Summit, which is a unique opportunity for closed-door discussion of the most pressing challenges that planners and heads of meeting management teams deal with every day. Sunday evening also features the Newcomers’ Orientation where those who are joining us for the first time can learn how to make the most out of the conference, pick up on some key networking tips and meet new colleagues before starting off the week.

The morning of a big show is always an exciting one – Waking up early to explore the exhibit hall, seek out the different breakfast stations for a peak at the upcoming menu, and of course, waiting for the doors to open, welcoming you to the week of learning. This year Pharma Forum is kicking-off with a splash of exciting content starting with our keynote address by NBC and USA Network's Talk Stoop Creator and Host, Cat Greenleaf, followed by our expert panel devoted to Safety, Security and Risk Mangement at Live Events featuring perspectives from law enforcement (FBI/NYPD), convention center security (Javits Center) and hotel security (Marriott International) with American Express Meetings & Events. Monday morning closes with a Talk Stoop Live Segment where Cat will take her famed interviews from the stoop to the Pharma Forum stage and chat with Rolf Benirschke, who shares his inspiring story of battling ulcerative colitis and making a return to his NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, after which he devoted his life’s work to the Grateful Patient Project.

After a lunch break in the exhibit hall with an opportunity to schedule appointments with exhibitors and stop by the CSR booth to decorate a pair of TOMS® shoes for charity, we begin the coveted educational breakouts. Learn about the brain science of meeting behavior, choose a compliance 101 training, or embark on a cross-functional collaboration journey in the first track. Then finish the day strong with an analysis of the MedTech Europe Code, stress reliever best practices, or a planner-exclusive bring your own challenge workshop. Let loose and enjoy the evening with the networking cocktail reception in the exhibit hall.

Welcome to Day 2! Tuesday morning begins with more educational breakout sessions designed to address a wide variety of planner and supplier industry challenges. Gain insight on improving investigator meeting management through a case study by Merck, join one of two compliance-focused interactive discussions, and hear an experienced panel of industry leaders discuss hybrid and virtual meetings and the value of audience engagement tools. Saving the best for last, our speaking faculty is preparing exceptional experiential learning experiences to close the breakout portion of the conference on Tuesday afternoon. These sessions allow you to step out of your typical role, and into that of your attendee or counterpart.

In the afternoon, take part in our audience-driven Pharma Forum Therapy session for planners and hoteliers to work through their challenges together in a constructive point-counterpoint format. We close the day with Laurie Cooke, CEO of HBA, as she delivers an inspiring address on reigniting your career path to success and guides you in developing a road map to accomplish your career goals. Relax with a glass of wine at the evening reception and get ready for the parties of the night!

When making your travel plans, make sure you don’t book that flight or train before noon on Wednesday because you aren’t going to want to miss the grand finale. Heather Hansen O’Neill ignites the morning with her Fired Up keynote where she uses her experience as a professional speaker and adventurer to spark that passion you have for the meetings industry and learn tips to increase confidence, deepen relationships and motivate teams.

Next up is the Inaugural Pharma Forum Trailblazer Awards Ceremony which the Pharma Forum team decided to establish in 2018 as a way to recognize inspiring individuals within our community. Don’t forget to nominate your colleagues by February 2 by filling out a simple nomination form here: http://blog.cbinet.com/2018-trailblazer-awards. Our Conference Co-Chairs will lead the awards ceremony and announce the winners, so make sure you are there to support your peers!

Finally, we conclude the 2018 event with a very special performance by SongDivision, led by Angus Clark who has toured with Queen, Jethro Tull and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. As this year’s MC, Angus guides attendees through a musical journey throughout the conference. Driven by attendee contributions, sharing experiences and meaningful moments at Pharma Forum, SongDivision prepares an original Pharma Forum Anthem to be revealed at the end of the meeting.

Pharma Forum 2018 is filled with amazing opportunities for life sciences meeting planners and suppliers alike! But don’t just take my word for it – Check out the full agenda to see what else is on the in store for March.
